In the next Caribbean Economic Forum, we will discuss “Transitioning the Private Sector” and how it solves the region's key economic problems of high unemployment, spiraling debt, and declining growth. The discussion, moderated by Toni Thorne, will focus on the measures instituted to adapt to a new business environment, plans for expansion, embracing regionalism and stakeholder capitalism, and how the private sector will tackle challenges and forestall the predictions that the Caribbean could become the poorest region in the world in a few decades.
As the Region continues to face unprecedented challenges due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Caribbean Export recognizes that prioritizing private sector development via innovation and enhanced competitiveness is essential to building the resilient Caribbean. To be successful, boosting trade, investment, and strengthening existing partnerships will be vital.
