Due to the change in protocols, we have had to postpone the #BUYBVI Young Entrepreneurs Business Expo. It will now be held 17-18 July with the traditional Business Expo (formerly Trade Expo). On 16 July, there will be an opportunity for the participants to network and unwind before they meet the crowds over the next two days. The Expos will be held at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park.
If you are over 25, please register for the Business Expo.
If you are 25 and under or know of a young entrepreneur who fits this category please advise them to register for the Young Entrepreneurs Business Expo.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has launched a COVID-19 Income Support Programme to support vulnerable individuals and families experiencing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The OECS Commission celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Basseterre on June 18, 2021. Every year, UN Member States, UN and other international and regional organisations public and private sector including civil society observe June 27 as World MSME Day, the goal of which is to raise public awareness of the contribution of MSMEs to sustainable development.
This year the OECS' Competitive Business Unit, Economics Affairs and Regional Integration Division will host A webinar under the topic, "MSME competitiveness in the OECS – Examining Key Issues in The Business Environment and Ecosystem".
The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) and the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) have teamed up to strengthen the relationship between travel advisors and the region.
The partnership between the two organizations is intended to generate synergies in areas such as advocacy, information exchange, and cross-organizational membership.
Vanessa Ledesma, Acting CEO and Director General of CHTA, sees great value in the networking opportunity, noting that travel advisors represent a valuable untapped channel for growth: “This is an enormously smart partnership, which gives our members direct access to ASTA, the leading trade association for travel advisors, the travel industry and the traveling public.”
Launched in Barbados in April last year, CARICHAM represents over 90,000 business from 21 chambers of commerce in 14 Caricom member states, as well as the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Cuba, the Dominican Republic (DR), Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Sint Martin.
